The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the large number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed click here to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point designed for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the sassa office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to empower the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
